Presented by The Feuerle Collection & FIRST International Film Festival
In conjunction with the 75th Berlinale
A two-day interdisciplinary program exploring the evolving role of cinema—its artistic futures, cultural relevance, and generational dialogue.
Day one featured a panel talk with Hella Wenders, Song Wen, Lubna Playoust, Xu Yidan, Dean Wei, and Désiré Feuerle, followed by screenings of Chambre 666 by Wim Wenders and Chambre 999 by Lubna Playoust—films that formed a haunting 40-year conversation on the fate of cinema.
Day two showcased a curated selection of award-winning features, documentaries, and shorts from the FIRST International Film Festival in Xining, highlighting emerging voices in Chinese independent cinema.
A collaboration between institutions, generations, and visions of what cinema can become.
